Anthos|Home is an innovative new nonprofit that will transform the system by which New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and rent available housing.
Anthos|Home is modeled on Brilliant Corners in California, a successful housing clearinghouse that uses a flexible pool of funding to administer and quickly find apartments for tenants.
Anthos|Home will help to streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes, and fill in gaps in the current NYC voucher housing market process. The organization will be a game- changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness and for the public systems that serve them.
The Tenant Coordinator Supervisor will work in a team and will be reporting to the Vice President of Tenant Coordination & Aftercare. In this role, the Tenant Coordinator Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a unit of four to five Tenant Coordinators who will be working with young adults and families in need of stable housing. Tenant Coordinators work with individuals and families from the beginning of the voucher process, during the move into housing and helping provide stability after placement. Tenant Coordinators play a key role as the point of contact for tenants and will work closely with government agencies, and nonprofits.

Responsibilities
The Tenant Coordinator Supervisor position is essential to helping Tenant Coordinators maintain an ongoing relationship with participants and will provide Tenant Coordinators the support and direction they need to help participants get and remain stably housed.
Key responsibilities include the ability to:
Oversee and supervise the work of four to five Tenant Coordinators;
Assign new participants to Tenant Coordinators and ensure balanced caseloads;
Reach out to child welfare agency or homeless shelter staff, when needed, to get additional information on participants;
Conduct case conferences as needed;
Work closely with the Supervisor of Housing Acquisition Specialists to support the housing navigation work and problem solve as needed;
Ensure that Tenant Coordinators are conducting welcome and unit prep. meetings consistently and timely, and are entering data in a timely way;
Work with the Operations team leadership to assist with housing placements, move-ins, etc.;
Help to facilitate bi-weekly joint Housing Acquisition and Tenant Coordination meetings;
Attend meetings as needed to ensure collaborative supports are being provided to the participants to ensure stability;
Monitor provision of aftercare services and ensure that Tenant Coordinators are conducting home visits and phone call to promote the safety and wellness of the participants, to address any rental arrears and utilities issues, assess maintenance of units, and provide housing voucher recertification support;
Ensure Tenant Coordinators are responding to housing and tenant-related emergencies during normal business and after hours;
Conduct weekly supervisory check-ins with each Tenant Coordinator and monthly unit meetings;
Participate in an emergency on-call rotation and complete incident reports;
Conduct training as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
The Tenant Coordinator Supervisor must be a licensed master social worker with a passion for working with vulnerable populations and creative problem solving. One to three years of supervisory experience in the housing and/or human service sector required.
Additional Skills include:
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Familiarity with the NYC housing market and voucher system;
Excellent verbal, written, communication and negotiation skills;
Experience with developing community-based resources;
Willingness to travel and make multiple visits in the community
Ability to use public transportation or meet the same travel requirements with reasonable accommodation
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, as some work locations may not have accessibility to an elevator, or meet the same requirements with reasonable accommodation
Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus;
Passion for the mission of the organization;
Ability to work in a diverse environment
Work Environment
- • Competitive Pay: $85,000 - $90,000 starting salary
• WFH/Hybrid work: At least 3-5 days may be required in the office/field each week
