Anthos|Home is an innovative new nonprofit that will transform the system by which New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and rent available housing.
Anthos|Home is modeled on Brilliant Corners in California, a successful housing clearinghouse that uses a flexible pool of funding to administer and quickly find apartments for tenants.
Anthos|Home will help to streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes, and fill in gaps in the current NYC voucher housing market process. The organization will be a game- changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness and for the public systems that serve them.
The Senior Grant Manager will oversee grant writing and management for Anthos|Home and its operations. The Senior Grant Manager will also support our housing nonprofit organization to create compelling content to be used in developing our materials and processes, and also support communication both within and outside of the organization.
The Senior Grant Manager will work with the organization’s leadership to develop funding leads and research grant opportunities. The position will focus on both private foundation support and government grants including federal, state, and local funding. In this position, the Senior Grant Manager will manage applications for funding to support existing and future projects. The Senior Grant Manager will report to the CEO and will also work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer. As a new and growing organization, Anthos|Home expects to have a funding and contract portfolio that is rapidly growing and evolving with multiple sources of revenue.

Responsibilities
This position is envisioned to be a critical partner to the leadership team and provides a unique opportunity to assist with the creation of a strategic funding strategy for a new nonprofit organization in NYC. The Senior Grant Manager will be essential in the overall success of the organization and its growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Grant Development, Writing, and Submissions
Lead the preparation and development of private foundation and government grant proposals, including all planning and outreach required and the drafting of the narrative, budget and all attachments.
Design and enforce proposal production schedules; ensure that all internal and final deadlines are met, and proposal components are addressed by relevant staff.
Initiate communication with essential staff needed to prepare high quality proposals.
Participate in regular meetings to discuss grant projects and schedules.
Compile, write and edit grant applications in concert with other staff and leadership.
Research and collect data to support a needs statement, objectives, and evaluation criteria for proposals.
Assist in responding to funders requests, preparing materials and agendas for meetings with funders as needed.
Oversee all private and public grant writing activities to ensure the highest standards of quality and to meet all funder requirements.
Write and edit new responses, and timely submission of proposals in varying formats.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Grant Management
Understand, manage, and track current funding requirements and prepare funding reports.
Ensure key funding deliverables are met.
Maintain open communication with funders and respond to requests as needed and appropriate.
Prepare related communications for key stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
Maintain a database on funding source contacts, activity, and status.
Funding Strategy
Research, evaluate and track funding opportunities in key program areas with government entities, corporations and foundations.
Analyze public policy, including trends and emerging issues impacting Anthos|Home services and support public funding strategy conversations.
Develop and execute a prospective funding plan for ongoing organization support.
Editorial Responsibilities
Prepare and edit content as needed including the development of materials to be used for the operation of the organization, manuals, and policies.
Provide editorial content for the website, communications both within the organizations and to others outside of the organization.
Ensure all content is accurate, well-written and adheres to our mission and approach.
Qualifications & Skills
The Senior Grant Manager must be an excellent writer and editor with superb attention to detail and a proven ability to produce compelling content. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic and will require someone who can easily handle and juggle multiple priorities. The candidate will have 6-8 years of writing, grant writing, fundraising, or development experience. At least 3-4 years of development experience is required. A master's degree in development, nonprofit management, public administration or another similar field is a plus. Experience managing federal, state or city contracts is a plus.

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat skills.
Skills in time management, organization and planning to prioritize tasks, and set meetings.

Work Environment
- • Competitive Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 starting salary (dependent on experience)
• WFH/Hybrid work: 2 to 3 days may be required in the office each week. Fully remote is possible for the right candidate.
