About Anthos|Home
Anthos|Home is an innovative new nonprofit that will transform the system by which New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and rent available housing.
Anthos|Home is modeled on Brilliant Corners in California, a successful housing clearinghouse that uses a flexible pool of funding to administer and quickly find apartments for tenants.
Anthos|Home will help to streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes, and fill in gaps in the current NYC voucher housing market process. The organization will be a game- changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness and for the public systems that serve them.
The Finance Operations Specialist will provide critical support to the Housing Acquisition and Tenant Coordination teams, assisting in administrative support. They will work closely with our external support firms, government agencies, nonprofits, landlords, and internal Anthos|Home team. We are looking for data enthusiasts, team-oriented and mission-driven individuals.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE ABILITY TO:
Bid out and select contract services, i.e., plumbers, contractors, electricians, etc.
Negotiate vendor service agreements and monitor day-to-day vendor performance to ensure full compliance
Process and report payments for vendors and consultants
Create, monitor, and distribute payments to multiple vendors, including client security deposits, utility deposits, furniture order requests, and other special requests
Order furnishings and supplies, schedule moving company, equipment, and materials as needed, and maintain an effective database for accountability of apartment furnishings, supplies, and other equipment
Develop and implement internal controls and policies that conform to New York City’s accounting guidelines and directives
Closely collaborating with the accounting partner to track payments, reconcile invoices and prepare for our yearly audit
Work with external partners and stakeholders to review payment inquiries as well as provide insight, payment breakdowns, and reports as needed
Maintain up-to-date data on tenants, unit listings, and landlords, assist in matching prospective households to apartments, and make any payments needed
Review the landlord and tenant forms (packages) as a final step in the quality assurance process
Expedite processes so voucher holders coming to Anthos|Home can be matched and moved into an apartment in under 30 days
Communicate with Tenant Coordination and Housing Acquisition teams on move-in inquiries
Operate at a fast pace with attention to detail for client move-in orders and requests
Maintain confidential client files and allocated funds per client.
Respond to general inquiries
Prepare ad hoc reports and assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Work with stakeholders to create dashboards and reports for project teams
Maintain data integrity of Anthos|Home tracking systems.
Provide excellent customer service and confidentiality
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred; if not, the candidate must have three years or more of experience in accounts payable/billing department, administrative, or operations support roles.
Additional Skills Include:
Must have strong technical aptitude, with advanced proficiency in utilizing MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems a plus
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
Must be detail-oriented and an effective problem-solver
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills required
An ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting
Passion for the mission of the organization

Work Environment
- • Competitive Pay: $70,000 - 75,000 starting salary (dependent on experience)
