About Anthos|Home

Anthos|Home is an innovative new nonprofit that will transform the system by which New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and rent available housing.

Anthos|Home is modeled on Brilliant Corners in California, a successful housing clearinghouse that uses a flexible pool of funding to administer and quickly find apartments for tenants.

Anthos|Home will help to streamline the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes, and fill in gaps in the current NYC voucher housing market process. The organization will be a game- changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness and for the public systems that serve them.

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and growth of the organization. It is an exciting opportunity to be at the ground level of a new nonprofit that will improve the voucher housing experience and landscape in New York City to be more effective. The CSO will be a member of the Executive Team, reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Anthos|Home leadership team.

The Chief Strategy Officer will have a comprehensive understanding and strong execution of strategy at all levels of the organization from day-to-day projects to long term strategy, and will ensure alignment across departments. S/he will define and implement means to engage leaders throughout the organization and external partners in the process of defining strategic goals and objectives. The CSO will also serve to give greater visibility of the organization's strategic objectives and promote a management culture that supports the mission of Anthos|Home. The mission of Anthos|Home to move New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness—and who have housing vouchers—into safe, sustainable housing by quickly connecting them to available units with quality landlords.

This position is envisioned to be a full thought partner to the CEO and provides a unique opportunity to assist with the creation and implementation of a new nonprofit organization in NYC. The CSO will be essential in ensuring cross departmental coordination, thinking through challenges, setting policies, connecting workstreams, and communicating effectively across multiple divisions.  The NYC housing landscape is complex and dynamic and the CSO will need to be able to make quick decisions and have excellent judgment and foresight.  The CSO has insight into the overall success and operations of the organization and plays an essential role in ensuring results are met.
